Drugs Case Accused Claims Hosting Celebrity Raves

Drugs Case Accused Claims He Organised Rave Parties for Celebrities
In a startling revelation, Mohammed Salim Mohammed Suhail Shaikh, an accused in a major mephedrone seizure case, has allegedly told Mumbai Police that he organised rave parties in India and abroad for film and fashion celebrities as well as underworld figures, officials said on Thursday.
Shaikh, who was deported from Dubai last month, is currently in the custody of the Ghatkopar unit of the Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC). During interrogation, he reportedly claimed that several of these parties were attended by high-profile individuals, including Dawood Ibrahim’s nephew Alishah Parkar, police sources said.
According to investigators, Shaikh was allegedly involved in facilitating the supply of mephedrone (MD) and other narcotic substances at exclusive events organised in luxury venues across India and overseas. The accused also purportedly maintained links with drug suppliers and event organisers operating internationally.
Police officials said they are now verifying the claims and examining Shaikh’s connections within the film, fashion, and nightlife circuits. “His statements are being cross-checked, and more people may be called for questioning based on evidence,” an official added.
The revelations come amid intensified crackdowns by the Mumbai Police Anti-Narcotics Cell on drug trafficking and consumption networks involving high-profile individuals.
