Dr Reddy’s acquires J&J vertigo brand

Dr Reddy’s Acquires Johnson & Johnson’s Vertigo Treatment Brand

Dr Reddy’s Laboratories on Thursday announced the acquisition of the Stugeron brand from Johnson & Johnson across the EMEA regions, including key markets such as India and Vietnam.

Stugeron, which contains Cinnarizine, is an antihistamine used to treat vestibular disturbances and vertigo. The acquisition allows the Hyderabad-based pharmaceutical firm to expand its presence in the anti-vertigo segment while strengthening its Central Nervous System (CNS) portfolio.

“This strategic move enhances Dr Reddy’s footprint in specialized therapeutic areas and underscores our commitment to providing comprehensive healthcare solutions globally,” the company said in an official statement.

Industry experts noted that the deal positions Dr Reddy’s to tap into growing demand for vertigo and CNS treatments, while leveraging its established distribution network in EMEA markets.
