David Warner Criticizes Cricket Australia for Handling of Ball Change Issue

Former Australian opener David Warner has expressed his frustration with Cricket Australia over its handling of the ball change issue during the first unofficial Test between India A and Australia A. Warner claims the governing body “squashed” the matter “as quickly as possible” after the umpires provided a new ball to the Indian players on the final day of the four-day match in Mackay.
The issue arose when the umpires changed the ball at the start of play, leading to discontent among the Indian players. Wicketkeeper-batter Ishan Kishan notably criticized the decision, calling it “a very stupid decision.” Warner, whose leadership ban has just been lifted by Cricket Australia, emphasized the need for clarity from the governing body, especially with the senior Indian team preparing for an upcoming five-Test series in Australia.
Warner suggested that Cricket Australia’s swift resolution of the incident was likely motivated by the impending high-profile series, signaling the importance of maintaining focus on the upcoming international competition.
