Congress to Protest Amit Shah’s Remarks Nationwide

150 Cities to Witness Congress Press Conferences Condemning Amit Shah

New Delhi: The Indian National Congress has announced nationwide protests against Home Minister Amit Shah, accusing him of insulting Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, the architect of the Indian Constitution. The party will hold press conferences in 150 cities on December 22 and 23, followed by district-level marches on December 24.

At a press briefing at the AICC headquarters, Congress spokesperson Pawan Khera outlined the party’s action plan. “All our MPs from the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha, along with CWC members, will address press conferences in their constituencies on December 22 and 23 to condemn Amit Shah’s remarks and demand his resignation,” Khera said.

The Congress has labeled the remarks as a “deliberate attack” on Dr. Ambedkar and the Indian Constitution, with Khera calling for Shah’s resignation.

The party will organize a Baba Saheb Ambedkar Samman March on December 24 at every district headquarters, culminating in the submission of a memorandum to the district collector. This memorandum, detailing the party’s demands, will be forwarded to the President of India.

Adding to the agenda, Khera announced an extended Congress Working Committee (CWC) meeting in Belagavi on December 26, followed by a massive rally on December 27 to discuss the party’s short-term and medium-term action plans.

Through these events, the Congress aims to draw national attention to what it perceives as an affront to Dr. Ambedkar’s legacy and the sanctity of the Indian Constitution.
