BFI Collaborates with NBA to Launch School Basketball League in India
NEW DELHI: The Basketball Federation of India (BFI) has partnered with the National Basketball Association (NBA) to introduce a school basketball league in India, aiming to foster grassroots development of the sport.
BFI President Aadhav Arjuna announced the collaboration on Wednesday during the launch event of the Pro International Basketball League (InBL PRO U-25).
“We have signed an agreement with the NBA to develop a grassroots development program for a school league,” Arjuna said, emphasizing the initiative’s potential to create a robust pipeline for nurturing young basketball talent across the nation.
The partnership reflects BFI’s commitment to expanding the sport’s reach and strengthening India’s basketball infrastructure.
