Ayush Food Products Attract Global Attention at World Food India 2024

Ayurveda has the potential to transform the global food landscape, says Secretary, Ministry of Ayush. The Ministry of Ayush is making waves at the ongoing World Food India 2024 event with its unique Ayush Pavilion, showcasing the profound impact of Ayurveda on nutrition and wellness. Held at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, from September 19 to 22, the event is drawing global attention to India’s traditional wisdom, presented in a modern context.

On the inaugural day, Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha, Secretary, Ministry of Ayush, visited the pavilion and emphasized Ayurveda’s role in modern nutrition. He stated, “Ayurveda Aahar offers scientifically-backed, time-tested dietary solutions that promote holistic health. World Food India provides a perfect platform to bring this ancient wisdom to the global stage.”

Ayurveda Aahar: Blending Tradition with Modern Wellness

At the heart of the Ayush Pavilion is Ayurveda Aahar, a concept that integrates traditional Ayurvedic principles into everyday food solutions. The exhibit features Ayurvedic dietary products addressing lifestyle disorders such as diabetes, obesity, and hypertension. Visitors are gaining insights into how Ayurvedic ingredients can enhance meals and promote overall well-being.

The pavilion also offers live demonstrations and consultations with Ayurvedic nutrition experts. Attendees are receiving personalized dietary advice based on their unique body types, or Prakriti, in accordance with Ayurveda. The presence of Yoga therapy demonstrations is further enriching the wellness experience at the pavilion.

Promoting Ayurveda Aahar Globally

The Secretary, Ministry of Ayush, revealed plans to develop standardized guidelines for Ayurvedic foods and collaborate with international regulatory bodies. He stressed the Ministry’s commitment to research and innovation, remarking that “Ayurveda has the potential to transform the global food landscape by offering sustainable and preventive health solutions.”

Global and Domestic Engagement

World Food India 2024, organized by the Ministry of Food Processing Industries, is hosting participants from both Indian and international companies, policymakers, and influencers in the food and agriculture sectors. The Ayush Pavilion is serving as a hub for exploring the global potential of Ayurvedic dietary practices. Both public and private sector representatives are actively discussing partnerships to promote Ayurveda Aahar research and product development.

A special session titled “Revolutionizing Nutrition: Ayush Food Innovations for a Sustainable World” is scheduled for September 20, where experts from the Ministry of Ayush will discuss sustainable food innovations based on Ayurveda.

With an exciting blend of Ayurvedic knowledge and cutting-edge food technology, India continues to position itself as a leader in the global wellness and nutrition space through events like World Food India 2024.
