Asian Influencers Explore Odisha’s Culture, Heritage in Bhubaneswar Visit
A delegation of social media influencers and content creators from 10 Asian countries explored Odisha’s rich cultural heritage, traditional handicrafts, and developmental progress during a four-day visit to Bhubaneswar that concluded on Sunday.
The visiting group included travel vloggers, food and lifestyle influencers, wellness bloggers, history enthusiasts, and documentary filmmakers from Bhutan, Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam.
During their stay from April 16 to April 19, the influencers experienced the vibrant traditions, art forms, and local cuisine of the state, while also gaining insights into Odisha’s evolving urban landscape and infrastructure in the capital city.
The familiarisation tour was initiated by the Ministry of External Affairs and facilitated by the Odisha government’s Department of Information and Public Relations (I&PR). The initiative aimed to promote Odisha as a global tourism destination by leveraging the digital reach and storytelling capabilities of international content creators.
Officials said such engagements are expected to boost Odisha’s visibility among international audiences and attract more tourists to the state by showcasing its unique blend of heritage, culture, and modern development.
