Amul, Mother Dairy Emerge as Top Indian Food Brands in Brand Finance Report
Amul has once again secured the top spot as India’s most valuable food brand, with a brand value of USD 4.1 billion, according to the latest Brand Finance India 100 – 2025 report. Mother Dairy, based in Delhi-NCR, followed as the second most valuable food brand with a brand value of USD 1.15 billion.
The rankings, released by leading brand valuation consultancy Brand Finance, highlight the dominance of dairy giants in India’s food sector. Britannia claimed the third position, while Karnataka’s dairy cooperative Nandini secured the fourth rank. Dabur rounded out the top five food brands in the country.
In a statement, the Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF), which markets the Amul brand, said: “Amul has retained its position as India’s No. 1 food brand, reflecting strong consumer trust and continued leadership in the dairy segment.”
The report evaluates Indian brands across sectors based on metrics such as brand strength, consumer familiarity, and financial performance. Amul’s consistent innovation, wide product portfolio, and deep-rooted rural procurement network have helped it maintain a strong edge in the competitive food industry.
The rankings reaffirm the growing influence and brand equity of homegrown Indian food and dairy companies in both domestic and international markets.
