Alok Verma Assumes Charge as Director-in-Charge of Rourkela Steel Plant
ROURKELA: Alok Verma has been appointed as the new Director-in-Charge of SAIL’s Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP), effective Monday. This announcement marks the beginning of a new chapter in Verma’s distinguished career with Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL).

A mechanical engineer from BIT-Sindri, Verma brings a wealth of experience, having served in various capacities across SAIL. He began his career in 1991 as a management trainee at Bokaro Steel Plant, where he spent 32 years. During his tenure, Verma was instrumental in the successful and timely completion of major projects, particularly in the rolling mills, which contributed significantly to the plant’s growth and operational excellence.

Verma’s leadership at Rourkela Steel Plant is expected to usher in a new era of innovation, efficiency, and enhanced productivity, continuing the legacy of SAIL’s commitment to quality and growth.
