Zinc Futures Drop on Weak Demand

Zinc Futures Fall on Weak Demand Amid Market Caution
Zinc prices declined by 0.56% to Rs 256.20 per kilogram in futures trading on Tuesday as speculators reduced their positions, influenced by weak demand in the physical market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), zinc contracts for June delivery fell Rs 1.45, trading at Rs 256.20 per kg with a turnover of 2,416 lots.
Market analysts attributed the fall to participants trimming their positions due to subdued demand from consuming industries, which pressured zinc prices in both spot and futures markets.
The downward trend reflects cautious sentiment amid slowing consumption in key sectors.
