WIF India launches mental-wellbeing initiative

Women in Film India Launches ‘The Resilience Playbook’ to Support Mental Well-Being of Women in Cinema
Women in Film India (WIF India), founded by Oscar-winning producer Guneet Monga Kapoor, has announced a new initiative titled “The Resilience Playbook” aimed at strengthening mental well-being among women working in the Indian film industry.
According to a release, The Resilience Playbook marks WIF India’s first-ever six-week immersive workshop series dedicated exclusively to mental health support for women in cinema. The programme is designed to create a safe and reflective space for female filmmakers to address emotional challenges that come with working in a demanding creative ecosystem.
The workshop will be led by wellness practitioner and life coach Chetna Chakravarthy, who will guide participants through practices focused on resilience, self-awareness, stress management, and emotional balance.
WIF India said the initiative intends to build a long-term culture of mental well-being within the industry, empowering women to thrive both personally and professionally.
