Vice-President Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar today inaugurated the PMAY (Urban) Flats at Ghoghla in Daman & Diu, reflecting on the transformative influence of national leadership and emphasizing the remarkable progress India has made in recent years.

Praising the country’s leadership, VP Dhankhar remarked, “There is a lot in a name, and ‘Nar’ plus ‘Indra’, ‘Narendra’, has made everything possible.” He attributed the rapid development to the visionary leadership that has ensured the timely execution of government initiatives, adding, “The specialty here is that whatever gets sanctioned becomes possible because of the leadership making it possible.”

During the event, VP Dhankhar highlighted the significant strides made in housing development under various government schemes, noting that over 21,000 houses have been sanctioned and constructed in the region. He credited the country’s progress to the effective governance model that has led to substantial improvements in infrastructure and essential services such as electricity, gas connections, toilets, and even solar energy systems.

Addressing the profound changes in India’s award system, the Vice-President acknowledged that over the last decade, the nation has ensured that prestigious awards like the Padma Shri, Padma Bhushan, and Bharat Ratna are bestowed on deserving individuals. “A big change has come in the last 10 years. Now, the recipients of these prestigious awards are those who are truly deserving,” he said, adding that this progress symbolizes India’s journey toward “Ram Rajya.”

Reflecting on India’s growing global stature, VP Dhankhar noted, “India is now the main center of the world. There is no other country like India, and this is not just our belief—global institutions are acknowledging this transformation.” He emphasized the unprecedented change taking place, particularly in the areas of infrastructure, economic empowerment, and governance.

The Vice-President also highlighted the government’s focus on economic empowerment through schemes like the Mudra loans. He requested that a camp be organized to inform the public about the opportunities for self-employment and job creation. “The Government of India has a policy to empower citizens economically,” he said.

Focusing on education as a key driver of change, VP Dhankhar urged the public to prioritize their children’s education. “Education is at the center of the biggest change today,” he said, stressing that this shift is crucial to India’s future progress.

VP Dhankhar concluded by emphasizing the holistic progress Bharat is experiencing across water, land, sky, and space. He encouraged citizens to reflect on their contributions to the nation’s journey toward “Ram Rajya,” asserting that each individual has a role to play in advancing the country’s prosperity.
