VinFast unveils India EV buyer’s guide

VinFast Launches EV Buyer’s Guide Featuring VF 6 and VF 7 for Indian Market
As India’s electric vehicle (EV) adoption accelerates, Vietnamese automaker VinFast has unveiled a detailed EV Buyer’s Guide tailored for first-time Indian buyers, highlighting its locally assembled VF 6 and VF 7 electric SUVs.
The guide outlines key factors for new EV users — from driving range and battery life to charging infrastructure, safety, and ownership costs — using the VF 6 and VF 7 as practical examples. Both models are now being assembled at VinFast’s Thoothukudi plant in Tamil Nadu, marking the brand’s deeper integration into India’s growing EV ecosystem.
The compact VF 6, powered by a 59.6 kWh battery, offers an ARAI-rated range of up to 468 km, making it ideal for city commuters. The larger VF 7 features a 70.8 kWh battery with up to 532 km range, designed for families and intercity travelers seeking extra cabin space and comfort.
Both SUVs use Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) batteries, known for durability and heat resistance — critical advantages for Indian conditions. VinFast also offers a 10-year or 200,000 km battery warranty, alongside free public charging at V-Green stations until July 2028, easing range and cost concerns for early adopters.
Safety remains a key focus, with the VF 6 equipped with standard features like ABS, electronic stability control, and hill hold assist, while higher trims add adaptive cruise control and lane-keeping systems. The VF 7’s advanced variants include a surround-view camera and driver monitoring system.
VinFast has also expanded its Indian footprint, operating 24 dealerships across cities such as Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, and Kolkata, with plans to reach 35 showrooms and 120 service workshops by end-2025. Partnerships with RoadGrid, myTVS, Castrol India, and Global Assure further strengthen its aftersales and roadside assistance network.
Priced at ₹16.49 lakh for the VF 6 and ₹20.89 lakh for the VF 7, the SUVs come with three years of complimentary maintenance and emphasize total ownership savings compared to petrol or diesel alternatives.
VinFast’s new initiative positions the brand as a key player in India’s EV transition, focusing on affordability, practicality, and strong aftersales support — making the shift to electric mobility more accessible for everyday Indian consumers.
