Veteran Odia Actor Uttam Mohanty Airlifted to Delhi for Advanced Treatment

Bhubaneswar: Renowned Odia film actor Uttam Mohanty was airlifted to Delhi on Saturday for advanced medical treatment as his health condition did not show improvement at a private hospital in Bhubaneswar, family sources confirmed.

The veteran actor has been battling liver cirrhosis and was undergoing treatment in the city. However, due to his deteriorating health, doctors advised shifting him to a specialized medical facility in Delhi for better care.

His wife, noted actress Aparajita Mohanty, and their son, superstar Babusan Mohanty, accompanied him on the flight.

Uttam Mohanty, a beloved name in the Odia film industry, has contributed immensely to cinema over the decades, earning a special place in the hearts of moviegoers. Fans and well-wishers across Odisha are praying for his speedy recovery.
