THINK Gas assures stable CNG, PNG supply

Supply of CNG, PNG Remains Stable Across Regions: THINK Gas
THINK Gas on Thursday said the supply of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) and Piped Natural Gas (PNG) continues to remain stable across its authorised geographical areas, with prices unchanged for now despite volatility in global energy markets.
In a statement issued here, the company clarified that there has been no disruption in gas supply, assuring consumers that both CNG and PNG services remain available across its network.
According to the company, concerns had emerged following disruptions in Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) shipments through the Strait of Hormuz, a key global energy transit route. However, supply to its operational regions has remained unaffected so far.
Commenting on the situation, Chief Marketing and Commercial Officer Vinukumar Balakrishnan said the government’s timely intervention has helped ensure energy security.
He noted that the Essential Commodities Act, 1955 and the newly issued Natural Gas (Supply Regulation) Order, 2026 reflect a proactive approach by the Government of India to safeguard natural gas availability amid global supply uncertainties.
The measures are aimed at maintaining steady distribution of natural gas for households, transport and industries, ensuring that consumers continue to receive uninterrupted services even during disruptions in international LNG supply chains.
The company reiterated that it is closely monitoring global developments and remains committed to maintaining reliable supply for its customers across all operational areas.
