Tara Sutaria Advocates Staying True Online

Tara Sutaria on Social Media: ‘I Have Been Conscious About Staying True to Myself’

Actress Tara Sutaria believes in staying authentic in an era dominated by social media, urging young people to be mindful of online perceptions while remaining true to themselves.

The 29-year-old, who began her career as a teenager with Disney’s The Suite Life of Karan & Kabir before starring in films like Student of the Year 2, Marjaavaan, and Ek Villain Returns, shared her perspective on navigating the digital world.

Speaking on the sidelines of Lakmé Fashion Week X FDCI, Sutaria said, “I’m fortunate to have a grounding support system in my family that has never allowed me to get consumed by social media. It’s easy to do that… but I have been conscious about staying true to myself.”

She added that embracing or resisting the digital age remains an “individualistic choice,” emphasizing the importance of personal values over external validation.

As a public figure, Sutaria continues to advocate for self-awareness and authenticity, inspiring young audiences to focus on their individuality beyond the online world.
