Bollywood icon Shah Rukh Khan has been discharged from K D Hospital in Ahmedabad after being treated for a heat stroke. The superstar was admitted to the multi-speciality facility on Wednesday and was released on Thursday evening, according to a police official.

“Khan has been discharged from the hospital this evening. He left for the airport from the hospital,” stated Ahmedabad (Rural) Superintendent of Police Om Prakash Jat.

The hospital has yet to issue an official statement regarding Khan’s health condition. The actor’s sudden hospitalization had sparked concern among fans and the film industry. However, his discharge suggests he is on the path to recovery.
