CSK CEO Hopeful for MS Dhoni’s Return in IPL 2025
Chennai Super Kings (CSK) CEO Kasi Viswanathan expressed strong optimism about former skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s participation in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 as a player. Viswanathan stated he is “very, very hopeful” that Dhoni will continue to don the CSK jersey next season.
Dhoni, who has led CSK to a record five IPL titles, stepped down from the captaincy before the start of the current season. He passed the leadership baton to Ruturaj Gaikwad, who guided the team to a respectable fifth-place finish.
Speculation has been rampant that this season might be Dhoni’s last in the IPL. However, Viswanathan emphasized that the decision rests entirely with the former Indian captain.
“Dhoni has been an integral part of CSK’s success over the years. The final decision regarding his participation in the next season lies with him,” said Viswanathan.
Dhoni’s potential return would be a significant boost for CSK, given his leadership, experience, and iconic status among fans. The cricketing community eagerly awaits his decision on whether he will continue to play in the IPL.
