Rashmika Mandanna Appointed National Brand Ambassador of Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre
New Delhi, October 15, 2024: Actor Rashmika Mandanna has been named the national brand ambassador of the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C), an initiative by the Ministry of Home Affairs to combat cybercrime across the country. The announcement was made on Tuesday.
Mandanna, known for her roles in popular films like Pushpa: The Rise, Dear Comrade, and Animal, has personally experienced the dark side of cybercrime. Earlier this year, a deepfake video of her was widely circulated on social media. Speaking about her appointment, the actor highlighted the importance of stringent measures to ensure online safety and called for greater awareness around cybercrime.
I4C was established to strengthen cybercrime prevention, reporting, and investigation, and Mandanna’s role aims to promote the initiative on a national scale.
