Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday shared a Sanskrit Subhashitam highlighting the importance of consistent efforts in achieving knowledge, wealth and धर्म (righteousness).

In a post on X, the Prime Minister shared the Sanskrit verse:

“जलबिन्दुनिपातेन क्रमशः पूर्यते घटः।
सः हेतुः सर्वविद्यानां धर्मस्य च धनस्य च।।”

The verse translates to the idea that just as a pot is gradually filled drop by drop with water, similarly continuous and steady efforts help a person attain knowledge, virtue and prosperity over time.

Sharing the verse on social media platform X, Shri Modi emphasised the significance of perseverance, discipline and gradual progress in life.

The Sanskrit Subhashitam received wide appreciation online, with many users praising the Prime Minister for promoting India’s rich cultural and philosophical heritage through classical Sanskrit literature.
