PVR INOX celebrates David Dhawan legacy

PVR INOX to Re-release David Dhawan Classics in Special Film Festival
Multiplex chain PVR INOX is set to celebrate the cinematic legacy of veteran filmmaker David Dhawan by re-releasing some of his most popular comedy films across theatres in India.
The curated film festival will showcase iconic hits such as Raja Babu, Aankhen, and Partner, which defined mainstream Bollywood entertainment in the 1990s and early 2000s. The initiative aims to reintroduce Dhawan’s signature style of humour and mass appeal to a new generation of moviegoers, while also offering nostalgia to longtime fans.
The festival has been strategically planned ahead of the release of Dhawan’s upcoming film Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai, building excitement around his return to the big screen.
Known for his successful collaborations with actors like Govinda and Salman Khan, Dhawan delivered a string of box-office hits that combined slapstick comedy, catchy music, and relatable storytelling. His films became cultural touchstones, influencing the tone of commercial Hindi cinema for years.
With this special re-release, PVR INOX aims to honour Dhawan’s enduring contribution to Indian cinema and celebrate the timeless appeal of his entertainers.
