President Droupadi Murmu arrived in Algeria on Sunday, marking the first stop of her three-nation visit and the first-ever visit by an Indian President to the North African nation. Upon her arrival in Algiers, she was accorded a warm ceremonial welcome.

In a special gesture, President Abdelmadjid Tebboune of Algeria personally welcomed President Murmu at the airport, accompanied by other members of the Algerian cabinet. The official handle of the President of India shared the moment on X, highlighting the significance of the visit.
