PM Modi Hails India’s Strong 8.2% GDP Growth in Q2 2025-26
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has welcomed the latest GDP figures showing that India’s economy grew by a robust 8.2% in the second quarter of the 2025-26 fiscal year. Calling the numbers “very encouraging,” the Prime Minister said the growth reflects the impact of the government’s pro-growth policies and reforms, alongside the hard work and enterprise of the people of India.
In a post on X, Shri Modi highlighted that the government remains committed to driving further reforms and improving Ease of Living for all citizens to ensure that the benefits of development reach every section of society.
“The 8.2% GDP growth in Q2 of 2025-26 is very encouraging. It reflects the impact of our pro-growth policies and reforms. It also reflects the hard work and enterprise of our people. Our government will continue to advance reforms and strengthen Ease of Living for every citizen,” he wrote.
The strong second-quarter performance underscores India’s continued economic momentum and resilience, reinforcing its position as one of the world’s fastest-growing major economies.
