PM to flag off four Vande Bharats

PM Modi to Flag Off Four New Vande Bharat Trains from Varanasi on November 8
In a major boost to India’s modern rail infrastructure, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit his parliamentary constituency, Varanasi, on November 8 to flag off four new Vande Bharat Express trains at around 8:15 AM.
The new semi-high-speed trains will operate on the Banaras–Khajuraho, Lucknow–Saharanpur, Firozpur–Delhi, and Ernakulam–Bengaluru routes. This marks another milestone in the government’s ongoing effort to provide citizens with faster, more comfortable, and world-class train services across the country.
The expansion aims to reduce travel time, enhance regional mobility, and boost tourism and trade in several states.
The Banaras–Khajuraho Vande Bharat will establish direct connectivity between key religious and cultural destinations such as Varanasi, Prayagraj, Chitrakoot, and Khajuraho—reducing travel time by about 2 hours and 40 minutes.
The Lucknow–Saharanpur Vande Bharat will cover the journey in 7 hours 45 minutes, benefiting passengers from Lucknow, Bareilly, Moradabad, and Saharanpur, and improving access to Haridwar via Roorkee.
The Firozpur–Delhi Vande Bharat, completing the route in 6 hours 40 minutes, will be the fastest on this corridor, strengthening connectivity between Delhi and key Punjab cities such as Firozpur, Bathinda, and Patiala—expected to spur trade and tourism in the region.
In southern India, the Ernakulam–Bengaluru Vande Bharat will reduce travel time by over 2 hours, connecting major IT and commercial hubs across Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and Karnataka.
These new services reflect the Prime Minister’s vision of transforming India’s railway network with cutting-edge technology, improved passenger experience, and greater regional integration.
