PM Modi Visits Labour Camp in Kuwait, Highlights Commitment to Indian Workers’ Welfare

Kuwait City, December 21, 2024 – Prime Minister Narendra Modi began his Kuwait visit with a stop at a labour camp in the Mina Abdullah area, home to approximately 1,500 Indian workers. Demonstrating his dedication to the well-being of Indian workers abroad, the Prime Minister personally interacted with workers from various Indian states, listening to their concerns and inquiring about their welfare.
The visit underscored the government’s efforts to ensure the safety and support of Indian workers overseas. In recent years, initiatives like the E-Migrate portal, the MADAD portal, and the upgraded Pravasi Bharatiya Bima Yojana have been introduced to streamline processes and provide effective assistance to expatriate Indians.
This visit reflects the significance India places on its migrant workforce, who play a vital role in fostering international relationships and contributing to the global economy.
