PM Modi to Launch ‘Karmayogi Saptah’ – National Learning Week on October 19

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to launch the ‘Karmayogi Saptah’ – National Learning Week on October 19 at approximately 10:30 AM at the Dr. Ambedkar International Centre. This initiative aims to enhance the skills and competencies of civil servants across the country.
Launched in September 2020, Mission Karmayogi seeks to create a future-ready civil service that reflects Indian values while maintaining a global perspective. The National Learning Week (NLW) will be the largest event of its kind, focused on individual and organizational capacity development for civil servants. The initiative aims to renew the commitment to continuous learning and promote a unified “One Government” approach aligned with national goals.
During NLW, each participant, referred to as a Karmayogi, will commit to achieving at least four hours of competency-linked learning. This can be accomplished through a combination of individual role-based modules available on the iGOT platform, as well as webinars featuring public lectures and policy masterclasses by distinguished speakers. Additionally, various Ministries and Departments will conduct seminars and workshops to enhance domain-specific competencies, providing civil servants with valuable insights into effective citizen-centric service delivery.
The event promises to invigorate the spirit of learning within the civil service, ensuring that officials are equipped with the necessary skills to meet the challenges of governance in today’s rapidly changing environment.
