Bollywood stars Akshay Kumar, R Madhavan, and Ananya Panday are set to feature in an upcoming film based on the life of renowned lawyer C Sankaran Nair, who took on the British Empire in the 1920s.

The untitled film, backed by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, along with Akshay Kumar’s Cape of Good Films and Leo Media Collective, is slated for a theatrical release on March 14, 2025. The film is inspired by the book The Case That Shook the Empire by Raghu Palat and Pushpa Palat, which chronicles Nair’s courageous legal battle against the British rule.
