New Delhi: Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has praised the unprecedented growth in India’s defence production for the financial year 2023-24, which reached an all-time high of Rs 1,26,887 crore. This marks a 16.8% increase compared to the previous year’s production value.

Sharing a post on X by Union Minister of Defence Shri Rajnath Singh, PM Modi wrote, “Very encouraging development. Compliments to all those who have contributed to this feat. We are fully committed to nurturing a supportive environment to further enhance our capabilities and establish India as a leading global defence manufacturing hub. This will enhance our security apparatus and make us Aatmanirbhar!”

The Prime Minister’s message highlights the government’s dedication to advancing India’s defence manufacturing capabilities and achieving self-reliance in the sector. The significant growth in defence production not only boosts the nation’s security but also positions India as a formidable player in the global defence market.
