PM Modi Honored with Mauritius’ Highest Civilian Award at National Day Celebrations

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi was conferred Mauritius’ highest civilian honor, the Grand Commander of the Order of the Star and Key of the Indian Ocean (G.C.S.K), during the 57th National Day celebrations of the Republic of Mauritius.
President of Mauritius, H.E. Dharambeer Gokhool, presented the prestigious award to PM Modi, making him the first Indian leader to receive this honor. Expressing gratitude, PM Modi dedicated the award to the special friendship between India and Mauritius and to the 1.4 billion people of India and their 1.3 million brothers and sisters in Mauritius.
The National Day celebrations also saw strong Indian participation, with an Indian Navy marching contingent taking part in the parade and an Indian Naval Ship making a Port Call in Mauritius to mark the occasion.
The event reaffirmed the deep-rooted historical, cultural, and strategic ties between India and Mauritius, further strengthening their longstanding partnership.
