Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed deep sorrow over the tragic loss of lives in a wall collapse incident in Mehsana, Gujarat. In a statement on X (formerly Twitter), the Prime Minister conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims and wished a speedy recovery to the injured.

“The wall collapse in Mehsana, Gujarat, is deeply saddening. My thoughts are with the families who lost their loved ones. May God give them strength to bear this loss. I also pray for the quick recovery of the injured,” the Prime Minister stated.

As a relief measure, PM Modi announced financial assistance of ₹2 lakh from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund (PMNRF) for the next of kin of those who lost their lives in the incident. An additional ₹50,000 will be provided to those injured in the mishap.

The Prime Minister also assured that the state government and local administration are making every effort to assist the affected families and provide all necessary support. The incident has prompted immediate action from the authorities to address the situation.
