PM Modi expresses concern over reports of targeting Russian President’s residence

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday expressed deep concern over reports suggesting that the residence of the President of the Russian Federation had been targeted, underscoring the need to prioritise diplomacy and restraint amid ongoing global tensions.

In a statement shared on social media platform X, the Prime Minister emphasised that diplomatic engagement remains the most effective way to end hostilities and achieve lasting peace. He urged all parties involved to remain committed to dialogue and avoid actions that could derail peace efforts.

“Deeply concerned by reports of the targeting of the residence of the President of the Russian Federation. Ongoing diplomatic efforts offer the most viable path toward ending hostilities and achieving peace. We urge all concerned to remain focused on these efforts and to avoid any actions that could undermine them,” Modi said.

The Prime Minister’s remarks come at a time when international focus remains on de-escalation and diplomatic solutions to prevent further instability. India has consistently advocated peaceful resolution of conflicts through dialogue and diplomacy, reiterating its position on the importance of maintaining global stability and security.

Officials said India continues to closely monitor developments and remains engaged with international partners in support of efforts aimed at reducing tensions and fostering peace.
