PM Modi Arrives in Thailand for BIMSTEC Summit
Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Thailand on Thursday for a two-day visit to attend the sixth BIMSTEC (Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation) summit. He was warmly received at the airport by Thailand’s Deputy Prime Minister & Minister of Transport, Suriya Jungrungreangkit.
During his visit, PM Modi is scheduled to hold discussions with his Thai counterpart, Paetongtarn Shinawatra, focusing on strengthening bilateral ties and regional cooperation.
Upon his arrival, Modi took to social media platform X, stating, “Landed in Bangkok, Thailand. Looking forward to participating in the upcoming official engagements and strengthening the bonds of cooperation between India and Thailand.”
The BIMSTEC summit aims to enhance economic and strategic collaboration among member nations, with key discussions expected on trade, connectivity, and regional security.
