PM Highlights Strength Of Daughters

PM Shares Sanskrit Verse On Strength Of Daughters
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday shared a Sanskrit Subhashitam highlighting the value and strength of daughters, as the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao campaign completed 11 years.
Recalling the launch of the flagship initiative, the Prime Minister said it was a matter of pride that India’s daughters today are creating new records across every field and contributing significantly to the nation’s progress.
In a post on X, Modi noted that in a country where daughters are revered as Lakshmi, the campaign was launched 11 years ago on this day to promote the survival, protection and education of the girl child.
He shared a Sanskrit verse which conveys that a daughter is equal to ten sons, and that the merit a person attains from ten sons can also be attained from a single daughter.
“India’s daughters are excelling in every sphere and setting new benchmarks,” the Prime Minister wrote, reiterating the government’s commitment to women-led development.
Launched in January 2015, the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao campaign aims to address gender imbalance and empower girls through education and social awareness.
