Paradip Port Showcases Growth and Innovation at India Maritime Week 2025
Bhubaneswar, Oct 30 : Paradip Port Authority (PPA) made a remarkable presence at the India Maritime Week 2025 held in Mumbai, highlighting its strides in growth, innovation, and sustainability in alignment with India’s maritime vision.
Union Minister of Ports, Shipping and Waterways Sarbananda Sonowal, Union Minister of State Shantanu Thakur, and Secretary of the Ministry Vijay Kumar visited the Paradip Port Authority’s exhibition stall. They were received by P. L. Haranadh, Chairman of PPA, who briefed them about the port’s achievements, ongoing expansion projects, and future strategies to boost capacity, efficiency, and environmental sustainability.
Adding to its accolades, Paradip Port Authority was conferred with the Maritime Excellence Achievers Award under the category “Best Exhibit Award for Future Port Concept” at the conclave. The award was presented by Ministers Sonowal and Thakur and received by Chairman Haranadh on behalf of PPA.
The recognition underscores Paradip Port’s commitment to adopting cutting-edge technologies and sustainable practices to build a future-ready maritime ecosystem.
Speaking on the occasion, Chairman Haranadh reaffirmed PPA’s dedication to driving innovation and contributing to the nation’s maritime growth. He stated that the port continues to play a pivotal role in realizing the vision of the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways to position India as a global maritime leader.
With several modernization and capacity enhancement projects underway, Paradip Port Authority remains focused on advancing its operational efficiency while maintaining environmental and economic sustainability.
