Oman Replaces Pakistan in Junior World Cup

Oman Replaces Pakistan in Men’s Junior Hockey World Cup 2025
Oman will replace Pakistan in the upcoming FIH Hockey Men’s Junior World Cup 2025 after the Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) informed the International Hockey Federation (FIH) that it would not accept the invitation to participate in the tournament.
The Men’s Junior World Cup, scheduled to be held in Tamil Nadu’s Chennai and Madurai from November 28 to December 10, 2025, will now see Oman joining the list of participating teams.
Oman earned its spot as the next highest-placed team from the Junior Asia Cup 2024, where Pakistan had earlier qualified.
This year’s edition marks a historic moment for world hockey — for the first time, both the Men’s and Women’s FIH Hockey Junior World Cups will feature 24 teams each, reflecting FIH’s commitment to expanding global participation under its Empowerment and Engagement strategy.
The inclusion of Oman further strengthens Asia’s representation in the event, which promises to showcase the best emerging hockey talent from across the world.
