Odisha on Path to Become Leader in Skill Development: CM Majhi

BHUBANESWAR: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Majhi on Monday announced that the state is on track to become a leader in skill development. His remarks came as he congratulated two local youths for their remarkable achievements at the 47th World Skills Competition, held in Lyon, France, from September 10 to 15.

Amaresh Kumar Sahu earned a bronze medal in the category of renewable energy, while Gedela Akhil received a medallion for excellence in water technology. Their success has brought pride to Odisha, highlighting the state’s growing emphasis on global-level skill development.

“The outstanding performance of these young talents is a testament to Odisha’s commitment to fostering excellence in skills,” said CM Majhi, expressing confidence that the state is well on its way to becoming a skill development hub.
