Odisha’s economy is projected to grow at 7.2% in the 2024-25 financial year, surpassing the all-India growth rate of 6.4%, according to the State Economic Survey Report presented in the assembly on Saturday evening.

The report estimates Odisha’s Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) at ₹9.5 lakh crore in 2024-25, marking a 10% increase from ₹8.6 lakh crore in the previous fiscal year (2023-24).

Officials highlighted that all sectors of the economy have shown robust growth, positioning the state for sustained expansion in the coming years. Higher capital investments and fresh investment commitments under the Utkarsh Odisha initiative are expected to further accelerate economic growth.

The positive outlook underscores Odisha’s economic resilience, driven by infrastructure development, industrial growth, and policy reforms aimed at attracting investments. The state government remains optimistic about maintaining its upward trajectory in the near future.
