Odisha’s Development Unstoppable, Says Patnaik

Utkala Dibasa: None Can Stop Odisha’s Development, Says Naveen Patnaik

As Odisha celebrated Utkala Dibasa on Tuesday, Biju Janata Dal (BJD) president and former Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik asserted that the state’s progress is unstoppable, urging people to take pride in their Odia identity.

Addressing a gathering at the BJD headquarters, Sankha Bhawan, Patnaik emphasized Odisha’s achievements over the years and the collective efforts that have propelled the state’s development. “None can stop Odisha’s development. Our people’s hard work and dedication have paved the way for a brighter future,” he stated.

Utkala Dibasa, also known as Odisha Dibasa, is observed annually on April 1 to commemorate the formation of the state in 1936. The BJD marked the occasion with patriotic songs, cultural performances, and the garlanding of statues and photographs of prominent figures who played a key role in Odisha’s formation.

Party leaders and workers participated in the celebrations, reaffirming their commitment to the state’s progress. The event also served as a platform to highlight Odisha’s rich cultural heritage and its journey toward economic and social development.

The BJD, which has been at the helm of Odisha’s governance for over two decades, reiterated its focus on welfare programs and infrastructure growth, reinforcing its vision for a prosperous state.

Utkala Dibasa celebrations were held across Odisha, with various programs organized in schools, offices, and public spaces, honoring the legacy of the leaders who fought for a separate Odia-speaking state.
