Odisha to Be India’s Growth Engine for Next 25 Years, Says Chief Minister Majhi

Bhubaneswar : Odisha is poised to become the driving force behind India’s economic growth over the next 25 years, asserted Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Saturday. Speaking at the NITI Aayog Governing Council meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi, Majhi expressed the state’s ambitious vision to emerge as a USD 1.5 trillion economy by 2047.

“I assure you, Sir, Odisha will be the growth engine in the country’s development journey over the next twenty-five years,” Majhi declared, emphasizing the state’s commitment to contributing significantly to India’s economic progress.

The Chief Minister’s statement, released by his office, reflects Odisha’s focus on leveraging its resources, industrial potential, and strategic initiatives to fuel sustained growth in line with the nation’s broader development goals.
