Odisha Launches Integrated Global Fintech Capability Hub to Boost Digital Skills In a significant move to position Odisha as a frontrunner in the digital financial technology space, the state government on Thursday announced the launch of the Integrated Global Financial Technology Capability Hub (I-GFTCH).

The initiative, launched in collaboration with the Global Finance & Technology Network (GFTN), aims to transform Odisha into a centre of excellence for fintech innovation and talent development. The I-GFTCH will serve as a comprehensive platform to impart cutting-edge training and skills in emerging digital domains, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), blockchain, InsurTech, and digital finance.

According to an official release, the hub is set to benefit over 7,000 students across all districts of Odisha over the next five years. These students will be equipped with “futuristic and job-ready skills” in high-demand sectors, ensuring they are prepared for the evolving landscape of digital financial services.

Officials highlighted that the initiative aligns with the state’s broader vision of empowering youth with industry-relevant competencies while also attracting fintech investments and partnerships from global players.

The launch of I-GFTCH marks a key milestone in Odisha’s journey toward becoming a leading digital economy and fostering a sustainable talent ecosystem in financial technologies.
