Odisha Government Assures Public, Ready for Emergencies

Odisha Government Assures People, Ready to Tackle Any Situation
The Odisha government on Saturday reassured its citizens not to panic, emphasizing that the state is fully prepared to manage any potential crisis. Disaster Management Minister Suresh Pujari made the statement following a high-level meeting chaired by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi to review the state’s security preparedness, particularly along its coast along the Bay of Bengal.
“There is no need for panic. The state is well-equipped to handle any situation. We are in close coordination with the Centre, as well as the Indian Army, Navy, Air Force, and paramilitary forces, to ensure the safety and security of our people,” Pujari told reporters after the meeting.
The state government’s assurance comes amidst heightened concerns over potential natural disasters or security threats. Odisha, which is frequently prone to cyclones and other natural calamities due to its coastal location, has made significant strides in disaster preparedness in recent years. The government has put emergency services on high alert and coordinated with central agencies to ensure swift response in case of any emergency.
The government’s quick response and strategic planning are seen as crucial in maintaining peace of mind among residents. Officials have urged the public to remain calm and cooperate with authorities in the event of any crisis.
