Odisha CM Mohan Charan Majhi Embarks on Three-Day Visit to Delhi for Home Ministry Meet on Maoist Issues

Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has embarked on a three-day official visit to New Delhi to participate in a crucial meeting on Maoist-related issues. The meeting, organized by the Ministry of Home Affairs, will take place on Monday morning at Vigyan Bhawan, officials confirmed.
The review meeting, chaired by Union Home Minister Amit Shah, will see the participation of chief ministers from states affected by left-wing extremism (LWE). The agenda includes assessing the current security scenario, reviewing anti-Maoist operations, and strategizing for better coordination between state and central forces to counter the LWE threat.
CM Majhi’s visit is seen as significant, given Odisha’s ongoing efforts to tackle Maoist activities, particularly in the southern and western regions of the state. The meeting is expected to focus on strengthening infrastructure, enhancing intelligence sharing, and improving the rehabilitation and welfare measures for those affected by the violence.
Majhi is expected to engage in discussions with central authorities and his counterparts from other affected states to seek further support for Odisha’s anti-Maoist initiatives. The Chief Minister will return to Odisha on Wednesday after completing his scheduled engagements in the capital.
