Odisha Assembly Chaos: Two More Suspended

Chaos in Odisha Assembly; Two More Congress MLAs Suspended

The Odisha Assembly witnessed chaos and multiple adjournments on Wednesday, as Speaker Surama Padhy suspended two more Congress MLAs over alleged indiscipline.

As soon as the House convened for Question Hour at 10:30 AM, opposition BJD members raised the issue of reservation for ST, SC, and OBCs in education and jobs before walking out in protest.

Meanwhile, Congress MLAs Taraprasad Bahinipati and Ramesh Jena, who had avoided suspension on Tuesday, entered the House beating gongs in protest against the earlier suspension of 12 party members. They also demanded the formation of a House Committee to investigate the rising crimes against women in the state.

The ongoing turmoil has disrupted Assembly proceedings, with further tensions expected in the coming days.
