No Pakistan Entry at Miss World

Miss World 2025 Contestants Shine in Hyderabad; No Representation from Pakistan

The glitz and glamour of the 72nd Miss World competition have taken center stage in Hyderabad, with contestants from over 110 countries participating in the prestigious global pageant. Among the South Asian nations, India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, and Bangladesh are proudly represented — but Pakistan is notably absent.

While the absence comes amid recent military tensions between India and Pakistan over the past four days, officials associated with the event clarified that the conflict has no bearing on Pakistan’s non-participation.

“Pakistan has never participated in Miss World. In any case, you don’t see — except in rare cases — Pakistan in international pageants in general,” said Ashwani Shukla of Altair Media, the official publicist for the Miss World event.

The competition, which promotes beauty with purpose, features several events and challenges leading up to the crowning ceremony. This year marks the return of Miss World to India after nearly three decades, with Hyderabad playing host to contestants, organizers, and fans from around the globe.

India’s representative, 22-year-old Sini Shetty, is seen as one of the frontrunners and has already made waves during preliminary rounds. Delegates from neighboring South Asian countries have also drawn attention for their charisma and cultural representation.

Despite the absence of a Pakistani contestant, the event continues to celebrate diversity, empowerment, and global unity through its platform. Organizers expressed hope that future editions of the pageant would see broader participation from across South Asia, including Pakistan.
