Nakajima eyes back-to-back India Open title

Keita Nakajima Aims for Back-to-Back Hero India Open Titles
Defending champion Keita Nakajima is set to compete at the Hero India Open, but the Japanese golfer admits he still doesn’t know how he secured his victory last year. However, as he prepares for this year’s challenge, he believes patience will be the key to retaining his crown.
The 24-year-old clinched his maiden DP World Tour title at the tournament last year with a commanding four-stroke win. Now, Nakajima is aiming to replicate that success and become only the second player in history to win consecutive India Open titles, following Kenji Hosoishi’s back-to-back victories in 1967 and 1968.
“I still don’t know how I won last year,” Nakajima said. “This time, I’ll focus on staying patient and playing my best.”
Beyond defending his title, Nakajima has his sights set on joining his Japanese peers on the PGA Tour next year. A strong performance at the Hero India Open could further boost his aspirations of making a mark on the global stage.
The tournament promises intense competition, with top golfers from around the world vying for the prestigious title.
