Kangana slams Kamra over Shinde remarks

Kangana Ranaut Criticizes Kunal Kamra Over Remarks on Eknath Shinde

Actor and BJP MP Kangana Ranaut has spoken out against comedian Kunal Kamra over his remarks on Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde’s political journey. Calling it “disgraceful” to mock someone in the name of comedy, Ranaut emphasized that there could be “repercussions” for such statements.

Ranaut, who represents Himachal Pradesh’s Mandi constituency, made the comments while speaking to reporters outside the Parliament on Tuesday.

“You may be anyone, but disrespecting someone is not right. Disgracing someone in the name of comedy and disregarding their achievements is in bad taste,” she said, referring to Kamra’s statements about Shinde.

The controversy erupted after Kamra allegedly made remarks about Shinde’s past as an auto-rickshaw driver before entering politics. Ranaut defended Shinde, highlighting his journey and contributions.

While Kamra has not directly responded to Ranaut’s criticism, the incident has reignited debates over the limits of comedy and political satire in India.
