PM Modi to Unveil Odisha Development Roadmap on June 20: BJP President Samal
Bhubaneswar, June 18 : Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to unveil a comprehensive roadmap for the development of Odisha during his upcoming visit to the state on June 20, coinciding with the first anniversary of the BJP-led government in the state. BJP Odisha unit president Manmohan Samal announced the details at a press conference on Wednesday.
During his visit, the Prime Minister will release two significant vision documents — Odisha Vision 2036 and Odisha Vision 2047 — that outline the state’s long-term development strategy under the BJP government. The roadmap is expected to focus on inclusive growth, infrastructure expansion, and social welfare.
In addition to launching the vision documents, PM Modi will lay foundation stones for several key developmental projects and inaugurate completed initiatives. He will also felicitate beneficiaries of Central and State schemes, as well as individuals who have made notable contributions to the social sector.
A grand Roadshow and Tricolor Yatra have been planned along the route from Biju Patnaik International Airport to Janata Maidan, where the main celebration for the government’s anniversary will take place. The Prime Minister is scheduled to arrive at Bhubaneswar airport at 3 PM on Friday and will be welcomed with a public felicitation.
Samal highlighted the Centre’s commitment to Odisha, noting that under PM Modi’s leadership, the state has hosted several major national events, including the Director General of Police Conference, Navy Day, Pravasi Bharatiya Divas, and National Health Mission programs.
He also emphasized Odisha’s rapid growth in infrastructure, particularly in the railway, road, and aviation sectors, which has attracted substantial industrial investments. “Prime Minister Modi is deeply committed to the collective and inclusive development of Odisha and its people,” Samal said.
This marks PM Modi’s sixth visit to Odisha in the past year, underscoring the growing focus on the state’s political and developmental landscape ahead of future national milestones.
