PM Modi Vows to Eradicate Naxalism from India: “This is Modi’s Guarantee”

Bhubaneswar, June 20 : Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday made a bold declaration that Naxalism will soon be a thing of the past in India, asserting that “this is Modi’s guarantee.” He made the statement while addressing a large gathering during the first anniversary celebration of the BJP-led government in Odisha.

Highlighting the decline of Naxal violence in recent years, the Prime Minister pointed out that under previous governments, the extremist movement had gripped over 100 districts, forming what was widely referred to as the “Red Corridor.” However, due to the BJP government’s firm approach and commitment to development, Naxal influence has now been reduced to just 20 districts.

“The violent activities of Naxal insurgents were major obstacles to development, especially in tribal regions,” Modi said. “Our government prioritized tribal welfare, initiated several development projects, and built trust among tribal communities. That trust broke the backbone of Naxalism.”

The Prime Minister credited the BJP’s policies and proactive governance for restoring peace and enabling progress in areas once heavily affected by Naxalite violence. He emphasized that the government would continue its efforts relentlessly until the extremist ideology is completely eliminated from Indian soil.

Reaffirming his government’s resolve, he concluded, “Naxalism will be rooted out entirely. This is Modi’s guarantee.”
