Narendra Modi shares article on women-led development

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday shared an article written by Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, highlighting India’s evolving development narrative that is increasingly centred on women-led growth.

The article emphasises that the country is moving from a focus on women’s development to a broader model of women-led development, where women are playing a leading role in shaping the nation’s progress. It also underscores the growing participation of women in fields such as science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM), research, and innovation.

Sharing the article on the social media platform X, the Prime Minister’s Office noted that “Nari Shakti” is emerging as a driving force in India’s journey towards building a developed nation.

According to the article, increased opportunities in education, research, and entrepreneurship are enabling women to contribute significantly to the country’s economic and social transformation. It highlights that women are increasingly taking leadership roles in emerging sectors and knowledge-driven industries.

The theme aligns with the vision of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, which celebrates India’s achievements and aspirations as the country progresses towards the goal of a Viksit Bharat.

The article further points out that with supportive policies, improved access to education, and rising representation in innovation-driven sectors, women are playing a critical role in shaping India’s future growth trajectory.
