In an exclusive interview with the Press Trust of India (PTI), Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared his views on key issues shaping India’s economic and developmental journey, with a strong focus on the Union Budget and ongoing structural reforms.

Speaking about this year’s Union Budget, the Prime Minister described it as a blueprint for inclusive growth and a catalyst for strengthening India’s position in the global economy. He highlighted what he termed the “Reform Express”, emphasizing the government’s sustained push toward structural reforms aimed at enhancing transparency, efficiency and competitiveness across sectors.

Modi underlined that India is emerging as a preferred global investment destination, attributing this to policy stability, improved ease of doing business and forward-looking economic strategies. He said the government’s reform-driven approach has generated confidence among investors worldwide.

In a post on X following the interview, the Prime Minister noted that he had addressed a wide spectrum of issues, including the Budget, reforms, why the world wants to do business with India, and the NDA government’s initiatives for MSMEs and startups. He also stressed the importance of strengthening the defence sector as part of the broader vision of self-reliance and economic resilience.

The interview comes at a time when the government is positioning India as a major growth engine in the global economy, with reforms and fiscal measures aimed at sustaining long-term development momentum.
